Awesome design - good for USB charging devices December 17, 2008 I have a Windows Mobile phone that charges and syncs via a standard mini-USB plug, so when I saw this adapter that a) sits in your cupholder so it doesn't slide all over the vehicle and b) has a USB port in addition to the normal plugs, I was intrigued.
After using it for a while I can confirm that both the USB port and the regular plugs work great, and I didn't have to buy a special car adapter for my phone, I just grabbed one of the many extra USB to mini-USB cables I had lying around and leave that with the inverter.
The design is great - sits right in my cupholder.
I've had no problems with it and get lots of good comments from passengers in my car when they see it.
Powerline Power Inverter December 12, 2008 I purchased the Powerline 200 watt inverter last month and have used it successfully to recharge my laptop while it is running a Microsoft GPS receiver and display. No problems have cropped up. It works as advertized. The power inverter represents very good value for the money spent and is easy to use. Just plug the inverter into your vehicle DC cigarette lighter and then plug in your AC laptop charger to the inverter and you have instant access to 200 watts AC current.

200-Watt? not exactly August 20, 2008 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Let's see..the description says 200 watt continuous 400 watt peak..Well, I bought this inverter to power my coleman inflater (170 watt)..SO I plug it in and plug into my coleman and there it goes, right? NO!! it can't handle the load..What?? isn't 170 less than 200..Why yes it is, except in powerline land...All kidding aside, if you're looking to power something close to the 200 watt range look somewhere else..if you're looking to power something less i.e. under 170 watts than this might work, but who knows..What I do know is that it WILL NOT power 170 watts so saying 200 continuous is a stretch...THANKS

This little guy is GREAT. The shape allows it to sit in your cup holder out of the way unlike the bigger odd-shaped ones that fly all over the place while you're driving.
This device is perfect for road trips. It handled my laptop and cell phone charger at the same time, and the USB port let me charge my iPod too. The plug fit just fine, and the low-power alarm is quite effective.
The only bummer is when you have a real cup of coffee and no where to put it...
