This Razo shift knob is a nice change for both style and performance. I previously had on an aftermarket metal knob threaded specifically for Acura/Honda. It too was weighted, but the Razo feels roughly a quarter lb. heavier and you can feel the aid in leverage as the throws are more positive and precise. I was a bit wary of it being a universal fit as I have had some $100 plus knobs come loose from a shifter while driving, but the Razo is well thought out w/ an assortment of 8, 10, 12mm etc. hard plastic tubes which self tap to the threads of the shifter giving a very firm retention while still allowing alignment adjustment. There is even a higher and lower setup adjustment - I put mine on the lower setting and it was nice as it shortened my shift lever a bit. The leather is a bit on the soft side and time will tell how it holds up...but at this price maybe I'll just put aside another.

I really like this shift knob. I bought it to replace the factory unit in my '93 Probe. It reminds me of an old Dodge pistol grip shifter in that you grip it in a hand-shake position. It looks and feels very well made and comes with replaceable inserts to thread over the shifter. Unlike the cheap local autoparts variety these inserts actually work. An allen wrench screw holds the insert to the medal interior of the knob and you just thread it onto your shifter. The insert is shaped to only fit one way. This gives you a very tight install as opposed to a knob that spins around on you. My only gripe is that it doesn't appear,or smell to be leather as the description says. I still dig it...

I LOVE this shift knob. I was a little scared about how it would perform based on the way it's shaped, but once I got it installed and started using it, it felt like an extension of my hand. Nice leather feel and the weight makes a huge difference in a very subtle way.
